The new trend among big-screen televisions and computer monitors is going to 4K resolution. This week, YouTube has put a new option for videos that allows users to watch some videos in 2160p resolution.

Videos in 4k are not a new thing for YouTube, the website has supported these video uploads since 2010. However, to configure viewing video in 4K, options should be placed in the "Original" in order to pass the resolution 1080p video.

If a video that is uploaded on the website supports resolution 4096 × 2160 or 3840 × 2160, the option menu now shows the new 2160p 4k. There's also a 1440p configuration that is added as a menu option, perhaps to give users an opportunity to go beyond 1080p resolution.
