In early October, Adobe announced that an external attack data are compromised 2.9 million customers.
According to news agency reporting technological Naked Security, the attack was somewhat deeper than that, because in fact the data are compromised 38 million users.
Heather Edell, one of the representatives of Adobe, said: "So far investigations have confirmed that the attackers were able to access the identity and encrypted passwords of 38 million active users."
At first the company thought that the attackers had access to the source code of products Adobe Reader, Acrobat and Cold Fusion. According to the most recent data show that stealing is a part of the source code of the software Photoshop.
Adobe has opened a counseling site for users affected by the attack, which gives instructions for changing passwords.
